Brad Lidge, closer for the Houston Astros baseball team and his wife Lindsay Lidge have just made a donation to India Projects Fund, earmarked for the poor fishermen children in southern India.

“We believe that the cause connected to the education of fishermen children is particularly important due to the needs of the poor in this region of the world, not just because of the Tsunami but because of the aspect of helping children of the world in general to improve their lives and to feel the support of the international community.

“Father’s ability to connect us directly and effectively with this cause were positive factors in our decision to make this donation.  We are appreciative of our ability to have contact with a part of the world so far removed from our home, yet so in need of care and assistance, and to create in the children additional hope for their future."
