LOCATION: 17 villages in the State of Madras ( Tamil Nadu ), South India
PURPOSE: To provide education and employment guidance for the children of coastal fishermen

ESTIMATED COST: $1,000 to $9,000 per year
ESTIMATED TIME FOR COMPLETION: Ongoing
PARTIES RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISION IN INDIA: Secretary Raymond Rodrigo of the fisherman society.
PROJECT DISCUSSION: We are in communication with several parishes from such villages as Chinnai, Muttom, Kanynkumari, Kovalam and Puthenthurai, etc. It is anticipated that the committee members (ten or so) will select the most deserving candidates. This program is hoping to support over 50
students annually.
There is great need for education among the coastal children. This program will assist the students with greater potential to advance in education.
